Quills Fest is Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s annual festival celebrating the intersection of Live Performance and Extended Reality.
Quills Fest engages artists and audiences around the world on the web, in Virtual Reality (VR), and in person, in pop-up VR hubs. Exhibitions of world-premiere VR experiences, performances that push the boundaries of liveness, and conversations that invite the audience into the behind-the-scenes of Extended Reality (XR) production highlight the most adventurous voices in art and immersive technology.

Josh Horvath is an award-winning multi-hyphenated production manager/creative technologist/designer. He started his career in Chicago designing sound and composing music for theatre and film. His sound and music have been heard at the Goodman, Steppenwolf, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, the Mark Taper Forum, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
He has worked with artists: Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Stephen Sondheim, Tom Hardy, Phylicia Rashad, and Phillip Glass. Commercial clients include Mattel, Allstate, Detroit Auto Show, The Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium
As a Production Manager, Josh has worked in Theatre, Digital, Augmented reality, and Virtual Reality. He has worked with Games for Change, Glow Up games, CloudRed and other international artists, to create award winning experiences.
